HOW TO REMOVE PERMANENT STAINS FROM TILES AND MARBLE
More and more house owners are choosing tile as the flooring of choice in kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, and other locations in the home. They look classy and offer an easy-to-clean, durable alternative to carpeting.
However, after a little wear and tear, tile floors can show it. They build up a layer of dirt and grime that can discolour, stain, and distract from the beauty of your home’s decor.
To keep your tile floor clean and shiny, here are some basic cleaning tips you can use:
Baking Soda Scrub
Remove a stain with baking soda. Try mopping your tile floor using this DIY cleaning recipe: 1 cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon liquid dish soap, 1 cup baking soda, and 2 gallons of very warm water. You can also add a few drops of lavender essential oil for a fresh scent!
Combine equal parts white vinegar, rubbing alcohol and water, and then add 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap, with a few drops of peppermint essential oil. This works well whether you use a bucket or spray bottle to dispense onto your floor as you mop. As an added bonus, peppermint oil deters ants and mice!
Pour on some hydrogen peroxide
Tough stains may require you to use hydrogen peroxide, which is available in most drug stores. You can use the product straight, or apply a paste made from baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
One of the most diligent of all natural cleaners – white vinegar will keep those floors looking bright. It also kills any mold or mildew, making it a doubly effective natural tile cleaner. Mix equal parts water with distilled white vinegar and then transfer to a spray bottle. Spray the vinegar mixture onto your tile and let it sit for a few minutes. Scrub the floor and then wipe it dry for an effective cleaning.
Finding some of these supplies can be hard at times and cleaning your tile floor can be a messy and tasking process. Which is why we often recommend you hire the professionals to help you do the job.
